Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones shot a music video for "Streets Of Love" on August 29, in Ottawa.
The band arrived at the shoot in the late afternoon, and spent most of their time on the set in Zaphod, an atmospheric small club on York Street. Ottawa police shut down the street and fans crowded around the barricades, snapping photos and cheering as the band went back and forth between their trailers and the club.
Fans who had been picked to be extras in the club got an unexpected treat. During a break in filming, the RS broke into an energetic performance of "Going To A Go Go" Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie were alone on-stage in the tiny club, when they roared into the tune...playing just for the fun of it.
Director Jake Nava and his crew shot interiors and exteriors around Ottawa late into the night with Canadian actor Tan Arcade, who plays the main character in the video.
