The 4Gb hard drive acts like a Flash drive for the Xbox 360, it connects via USB 2.0 to the 360. It does not require any external power source and has a green glowing power Xbox 360 button on the case. However with a litte tweaking you can connect any USB 2.0 external hard drive to the Xbox 360. The Datel XBox 360 4GB is compact and weighs only 4 ounces.
